1. August 4th, 5 pm - Picnic/Ballgame at Dan Daniel Park #17. RSVP by 7/28 (bring dessert)
2. September 24: Fish Fry-Dan Daniel Park #17. 5 pm. RSVP by 9/17 (bring dessert)
October 15, 1- 5 pm: Credit Union Day. Volunteers needed for helping with the hot dog trailer. We would like people to volunteer for a two hour shift, so that no one needs to work the entire 4 hours.
3. November 12: Stew. This will be prepared and sold at the Credit Union on Arnett Blvd. We will need helpers to prepare the stew and people to sell it. Nov. 11 at 1:30 we will be at the Union Hall to peel onions and potatoes in preparation for the next day. This will avoid sitting in the cold to prepare them. We also need people to volunteer to cook chicken or beef. One person will get 2 chickens or comparable amount of beef.
4. December 3, 11:30 am. Christmas Luncheon will be at Stratford Conference Center. The reservation for members is $15.00 each and $20.00 for guests. Deadline for reserverations is November 20. Allow 4 days for mail to get to North Carolina. We ask that all checks be made out to: URW Retirees' Club and mailed to: Barbara Fry, PO Box 356, Pelham, NC 27311
